Hello friends and family!

You may remember a couple of months ago I shared the exciting news that Brendan was cast in Stuart Little at Boston Children’s Theatre.  Brendan has been involved in classes and camps at BCT since he was four years old.  If you did not get to see the show- it was awesome!  Brendan enjoyed the rehearsals- up to 20 hours a week! – as well as the fourteen performances! The show was even reviewed by the Boston Globe! My “scene stealer” was so thrilled!

The day Brendan was most proud to be on stage was the day his whole class, all 130 Condon School second graders, came to see Stuart Little.  No small feat after the winter we had!  For many students it was their first time seeing live theater, an experience I am sure will stay with them. Many classes read Stuart Little and were able to relate the book to the play- literature coming to life!

The trip would not have been possible without the support of Boston Children’s Theater and its Scholarship Fund.  The Scholarship Fund allows all children to participate in classes and camps and attend performances. It is the goal of BCT to make theater accessible to all.

Please join our family in celebrating Boston Children’s Theatre and its fundraising efforts at this year’s Giving Voice Front Row Fundraiser. Money raised at this year’s event goes to supporting BCT and its efforts to bring theater to children- “giving students a strong voice in the arts.”  It is going to be a fabulous event with some of Boston’s best chefs serving delicious samplings of local favorites. There will be entrainment by the talented students of BCT as well. And there will be a live auction with incredible items such as an exclusive stay at a luxury hotel in Cabo, a surf vacation for a family of four at the best surfing beach on the Baja Peninsula, A Floridian getaway, excellent Red Sox tickets, a Broadway weekend, a chef dinner for 10, a catered cocktail party, several New England weekends just to name a few!
